Adding low-profile QD Sling Points to the 90/22 stock

I'm sure this has been done by others, but I didn't see anything here in the thread, so I'm posting it

I planned to add QD Sling Points to the 90/22 stock I recently purchased from HTA.  Just finished it up and wanted to share the results - Pics attached

Here's how I did it:

1.  I knew I needed to reinforce the stock where the QD points were going, so for that I used Fender Washers with a 1/2" center and opened them up a bit with a rat tail file, just so the QD cup would fit into them

2.  JB Welded the Fender Washers to the inside of the stock - Pushing them up against the strengthening ribs so they were the same, side to side

3.  Protected the outside of the stock with a few layers of painters tape, then used a center punch to mark the center of the area to cut out, drilled out with successively larger drill bits and finished it with the rat tail file

4.  Removed the tape, pushed the QD Cup through from outside the stock, hit the threads with a dab of RED Loctite, screwed on the nut and tightened it

5.  Repeated on the other side - They look pretty clean, and they will go perfect with HTA's upgraded rails for the front, with the built-in QD mount.

I don't like them overlapping the line in the stock, so I may adjust them a bit on the other stock I plan to modify - Or not

These will work great with the upgraded rails from HTA that have the integrated QD Sling Points in them:
