Interesting. Is it a conversion kit?  A conversion kit Makes sense for a cheap Hi Point but not sure spending more on a rifle that already costs near 1K makes sense. I assume the cost will be at least a few hundred. I like the scorpion as is and converting it to a bullpup doesnít add much to an already compact rifle. I donít think 9 mm carbines really benefit that much from a 16 inch barrel and a shorter SBR makes more sense if you wanted a shorter rifle.

If itís not a conversion kit but sold as a bullpup i think I would still prefer the original version if I were getting a new scorpion.

Rather than a scorpion I would like to see the Ruger PC Carbine converted to a bullpup.

If it took Glock mags I would have bought it. Went with a G19 MCK Roni instead.

takes CZ mags only -- expensive for a conversion --- $900 for a carbine and another $400 for the kit (approx. figures)--- might as well buy an Tavor in 9mm for $1400 (used )

or

by a CZ micro for $1200 with folding stock and have something you can carry

I've got the kit for my Scorpion carbine and am in the process of putting it together.  The kit is well designed and I am quite impressed with it.  Factory quality kind of feel, and generally professional grade construction, compared to most aftermarket bullpup conversions I have handled.  Matches the Scorpion's existing receiver and furniture more or less exactly.  I already was invested in the CZ, so cost was around $350 to convert it into a bullpup, which for the kit of this quality seems very reasonable.

As for mags, curved or strait double stack, double feed SMG mags are a generally more reliable and of a superior design overall to pistol mags with a single feed arrangement.  CZ Scorpion mags are also cheaper in nearly every form compared to Glock high cap mags.  Also, on a personal note, I find rearward angled pistol mags in long guns to be visually awful looking, particularly in a bullpup.  That's just me though.  My other personal reason for this kit vs. one of the Glock fed firearms is that I do not own a Glock, and my only Glock mags are .45 high caps for my Kriss.  :-\

One significant thing I did change for both functional and aesthetic reasons was the forend, opting for Manticore Arms' own forend designed specifically for the Scorpion Bullpup kit.  Far more M-Lok space, a better look, and longer top rail for irons and optics.  While I was at it, I also picked up one of the new Magpul Scorpion pistol grip to go on the kit.

I found out that I have a welded trigger pack, so I got delayed finishing assembly, but I will post pictures once I have it all set up.  In the mean time, to give one an idea of how it looks with the Manticore forend, here is a pic from their own website.

well first have to resin my previous post -- picked up a carbine for around 850 before things went to hell and later found CZ was selling the kit for 325 ---- after selling the iron site and stock off the carbine for 250 I ended up with only 925 -- time to eat some crow
