ONLY GEN 4 Glock mags work.  There are 2 notches on gen 4 and only 1 notch on older versions, thus the mag can't lock into place.  I suppose you could dremel a notch on the older ones possibly.

I've confirmed even the smallest gen 4 Glock 26 mag will fit.  The magwell has dual tabs (gen 4 mag) and only gen 4 glock mags 9mm double stack will work.  So if you have a gen 4 glock 26, 19, 17, or 34 you can use them all!  Not sure on a drum mag though.

That is kinda a bummer. I don't have any Gen 4 Glocks at all. Haven't had to buy mags for any of my Glocks recently either.

In the second and third picture, is that block the hammer?

Yes the hammer is up or in the "fired" position.  It would have hit the bolt/firing pin in that pic.

The magpul glock mags are only $15, so they are very affordable and an alternative to glock factory.

It's no big deal, just take off the ear on the mag holder and all gen mags work fine.

True, it wouldn't take much to dremel off that left side.  In fact, the whole mag portion appears to disassemble with only 4 screws.  I bet you remove that and the mag release is pretty simple.

I've attached a jpg of the lower schematic from the manual.  Part #6 in the drawing just needs a nibble taken off.

I'll have to double check at work tomorrow, but I believe all Glock models now come with Gen 4 type magazines, and have since the Gen 4 released a few years ago.  I am curious if you have any of the 31/33rd extended mags, drums, or beta mags to test out?  If so, I would love to see pics of any of them in the gun.  Thanks for the info you are posting btw firewire! Have any Jard owners attempted the mag tab alteration?

I ran my JRC this morning and with a can it seems to go on for days but I have zero gen4 mags. I suppose I'd get on with the rifle but id like to hear of someone successfully "trimming" this tab so I could use all the G18 mags I have.
