Order placed with Dean (owner?) today!  I went with a threaded barrel and protector setup just for future ability.  Should hopefully ship by the end of the week!

I will be putting a Vortex Spitfire 3x and magpul foregrip on it.

It comes with a magpul 17rd pmag, so I'll pick another one or two of those up.

Magpul is releasing a 21 and 27 round 9mm Glock mag soon.  Preorder on Brownells.  Around $20.

What's the trigger on it like?

Did you happen to use 115grain ammo successfully?  Winchester White box stuff?

Very excited about this new little rig. Glad to see another addition to the forum list as well. I hope this little carbine turns out to be a winner.

I found an article from Oct. 2015 on TheFirearmBlog.com showing a prototype of it back then. The article stated It uses an M1 Garand style rocking safety in the trigger guard.

Now that you've had this for several months, what is your opinion of it?  Any ammo it doesn't like? Any failures to load/fire?  Try it suppressed?  Any concerns about putting your head next to it?  ;-)

Thanks

Well......

The long and short of it, I sold it.

Now I'll explain.  I REALLY REALLY REALLY like the design, function, and materials.  It is well put together and a relatively great value (compared to what I considering as competing products).

I just couldn't get mine to quit double and triple firing.  I sent it back once for adjustment and sent a few videos direct and several phone calls to help adjust the trigger, but never got it to quit double and triple firing after about 2 mags through it.  I took it the range 3 times with no better luck than the previous time.

I fully disclosed to the seller about the issue and hadn't been able to test it after the last adjustment and he would possibly still need to adjust something.  He was very familiar with AR builds and wasn't concerned.  He had his own land where as I had to go to indoor ranges.

I was in contact with a youtube and instagram user JP_Ordance and he had NONE of these same issues, so I think it was just my sear or trigger that was just off slightly, but the buyer really wanted it and basically bought it for what I paid, so instead of investing more time and energy I sold it.

I have not heard anyone else with the same issue, but there still isn't much info about them out there.  I would still recommend one, I just had an opportunity to move it and it's tough to spend money on a range visit only to be shorted due to the issue.  Had I had the ability to adjust test in the back yard, adjust, test, etc. without having to spend range fees I would have likely kept it until the issue was resolved.

The pro's all speak for themselves.  Downward eject, easy take down, ambidextrous operation to the extreme.

Only con's were that a full mag was very difficult to insert fully without a hard slam.  Pull one round out and that gave enough spring movement to seat much easier.

It has way more going for it than not, and that is why I would still recommend it.  I go through guns and like to test a lot while not really holding a lot of emotion to them so I will test and trade often just for the experience.

Thanks for the timely response.  I'm interested in the product, but might wait until v2.0 comes out.

I too had the doubling and tripling issue.  I contacted JARD, and spoke with Dean (great guy - very friendly & helpful).

He suggested that the trigger was probably not adjusted properly at the factory, and got me the relevant section of the manual for adjusting it (the new manual has the correct procedure).  I was a bit skeptical, but I adjusted it as per the manual, and it's been flawless ever since.  I am very happy with it, it's a blast to shoot, and I heartily recommend the J67!
