Ken,

I just checked the K&M Arms facebook page, at your suggestion. You've been busy!

From this long-time Enthusiast, who evaluates a Bullpup from the inside out --- and shoots a rifle from the left shoulder --- you just made his day!

With your beefy 3-lug triangular Breech Bolt-matching Barrel Extension, along with your plans to offer a 6.5mm (6.5mm Grendel/6.5mm Creedmoor, in their respective platforms --- a giant step ahead from the "business-as-usual" calibers) in the future, I submit that your M17S is on track to become the Bullpup model to beat: a real game-changer, at last.

I want one!

Mine showed up today! First impressions are WOW! Trigger is very good and crisp. Fit and finish is great.Top rail is very nice and it comes with a 6 O'clock rail installed. But,He didn't stop there....He added two side rails that you can install if needed! Ken even added a soft case, spare parts and a shirt!  He even addressed the hole in the grip with a rubber cover!I'll try to get the new K&M out tomorrow for some shooting! Thanks Ken!

Picked mine up today, looks great Ken! Along with everything mentioned above, the owners manual is top notch. Thorough descriptions of take-down / reassembly and directions for switching sides of the charging handle. Full explosion drawings of every sub assembly comprising the weapon.  Printed in color on heavy quality paper.  Better than the manuals most guns ship with no days! If the weather holds out, I'll be at the range with it this weekend!

I picked up mine a few days ago. I will be up at the range tomorrow and post a report on
function and accuracy asap.

Dogslayer

If possible, give us a comparison against the Tavor.

Thanks!

Yes please!   I am anxiously awaiting to see a head to head comparison with the Tavor too.  My piggy bank is almost full and it's time for a new toy.  I had my head and eyes set on a Tavor but would really like some knowledgeable head to head feedback before I make that call.

Hey, Hey, HEY!! Got mine tonight... It is sweeeeettt!!!   Going out tomorrow morning to shoot it... I'll let everyone know how it does. Going to try out 3 different brands of ammo. Grin

I hated to wait so long for it, but it was well worth the wait...  Smiley

A compact 2x7 scope plus a cheap grip pod and it still fits in the case... Evil

Range Report
Tried it out today. Shot 175+ rounds. No problems with the rifle. Used the Magpul mag. A USGI mag and a 40rd C-products mag.  Used  federal 223, 15 year old no name brass 223 and some silver bear . All worked without one problem. Trigger was light and crisp.

I have used the M-17, FS2000, MSAR and the HTA 90/22. The M17S556 is head and shoulders above all the other bull pups out there .  Roll Eyes

Since I've gotten mine it's either stormed here or something has come up. It's been killing me not putting any rounds through it. I'll try again tomorrow! Roll Eyes

K&M Arms is introducing the M17S556 (with additional calibers to soon follow...)

I see they list the Grendel 6.5.  Nice to see other calibers.  i hope it works.

I'll be interested in how it performs at range compared to AR Grendel 6.5's that can ring steel at 1200 yards with Hornady Amax 123.

Sounds good.

Next time, go to 500 meters, and put 20 rounds into the target and post the picture.  I want to see how it does compared to an AR/XCR at range.

Got mine out for a short time today. It wouldn't feed lacquered steel case ammo. Switched to 62 grain Green tip and had no issues. Best trigger on a semi-auto Bullpup I've ever shot. It also feels surprisingly light to be all Aluminum. I just had a set of Flip-up open sights on it so I couldn't really test accuracy yet.

Actually, same for anyone.

Try 600 meters as well.  That's the longest I tried with my Robarms XCR.

Use standard 5.56 LC )Lake City/American Eagle is possible.  Not fancy rounds or handloads.

Thanks.

Happy Independence Day !!!

Sorry I wont be able to give you any pictures past 125 meters. (the max distance of the local range). It does hit the 6 in metal gong every time at that distance..

2nd range report.... Tryed a surefire 60rd mag and also a British steel AR-15 mag. The surefire worked without a problem. The British steel mag would not even chamber a round (to be fair my other 2 AR-15's did not like it either).

I had the range officer try it out. The trigger is so light and crisp that it surprised the range officer.

Tried 2 other kinds of .223 ammo. Tula and laquered coated monarch. Both performed  fine. (no failures). Roll Eyes

And, for us open-country "Desert Rats," comfortable trekking among the Barrel, Prickly Pear and Saguaro cacti (http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/EpIDj_hZqwU/maxresdefault.jpg), some variation of the Desert Digital Camo theme (http://bullpupforum.com/index.php?topic=38.msg4786#msg4786), for our long-ranging 6.5mm-chambered M17S', would assist in masking our presence in the challenging desert environment.
