I hear there is a park there...

I didn't go anywhere last year. I drove up super early Saturday morning and had to catch a flight Sunday afternoon so I ran out of there after the match. There are some pretty places in KY though. Fort Knox isn't too far but they probably aren't to friendly to a bunch of guys with rifles pulling in wanting to see some gold!

For those that have been to Park City, Kentucky in the fall:

  • How about night spots? Jazz? Blues?
  • How about good bars (some quiet and some not so much)? Is this a dry county?
  • Any sights to see other than Mammoth Cave/Park?

I've never been there, but I took note that it's 1 hour north of Nashville, TN.  That'll cover the questions I quoted.  I learned that the Resort Bar is the place to be Saturday night, so I'm going to either do Nashville Friday Night or get a room in Nashville on the way home Sunday (the downside of motorcycle travel is being unable to lock up rifles and leave the bike).

I work in Nashville. Friday night would be better if you want to go downtown. If you want to meet up with me I can haul your gun up there Saturday morning.

I have never been to a Bullpup shoot.
Do we bring our own bullpups, or are we
okay to not bring one?

I don't know if I want to drive across several state
lines from Maryland with an assault rifle in my trunk.  :/

K&M Arms has announced that they are working on a new M17s lower (with a new upper to follow) that will accept the original uppers. It is a grand improvement in Bullpup design and will be on display at the Bullpup Shoot. Ken from K&M and Charles St George (the original M17s designer) will be on-hand to discuss the evolution of this mainstay platform!

Red Jacket Firearms will be showing off the ZK line of Bullpups. The 1022 conversion kit is in production, trying to catch up to demand, and will be available to shoot. And this is an official announcement that a new product from the ZK concept, as well as new accessories for other Bullpups, will be on full display during the Bullpup weekend!

Less than two weeks remain before our unique event. More info to come as often as we can in the next few days!!

If you tell them you're with the Bullpup Shoot, the rate should be $79 + tax, etc...

Attached is today's press release.

Here are a couple of interesting paragraphs:
Steyr Arms has announced that they are going to give-away a 9mm conversion kit! This will be one of the first kits to be available in the US, ever!! Stop by the Steyr booth during the Saturday events and navigate through the AUG and new items to come.

IWI-US will have the new Tavor on hand to shoot and explore. The Tavor has recently entered the US market, and is tactical favorite. As an added bonus, one lucky winner in the Sunday Bullpup Challenge will win a free Tavor rifle!!

A free 9mm kit would be enough to make me want to buy another gun to put it in! Maybe IWI could take the hint...  Wink

And resume Sunday morning up to the briefing.
