I'm in North Scottsdale. Going to be at Ben Avery Shooting range 4/28 sometime after 11:00 AM. Im taking my company to paintball at cowtown first. After that I'm going to take the guy that runs my warehouse to BA. Hopefully I will have my Tavor by then. If I have not received the rifle I still will go but am only bringing two rifles and two new handguns. Would love to meet up with any guys from the GB in this forum.

I am in buckeye.

I literally only have 20 rounds of 5.56 that's been in my safe for 13 years.

I'd probably meet up just to have a cool picture of 20 of us holding our Tavors though, even if I don't shoot it.

I'm down in Tucson.

My FFL is out of town this week, but would love to meet with others on the AZ GB once I get my Tavor.

Very nice! what optics are you planning for that?

Picked my Tavor up this afternoon.  The Tavor is less 'plasticy' feeling than I expected.  It has a nice substantial feel to it.  The length of pull is long (I'm 5'7), but not awkward.  So far I've mounted my VCAS sling, Aimpoint M2 with Larue mount, surefire mini, and M4-2000.  I will also say that the first Gen 2 Pmag that I stuck in dropped free.

...Slickguns.com has a deal on them till tonight $357.00 shipped.

The deal runs through midnight Apr 4, 2013 and is through LA Police Gear. Most, if not all their products are on sale for 15% off using the discount code "Lassie".

Update: I mis-read the discount code expiration, but LA Police Gear was the source and they still have a sale going through Apr 4 midnight.

Oh.. right now.. I am trying out my Burris MTAC 1-4x 30mm with illuminated reticle with Burris PEPR mount.

The mount works ok, but might need little higher one because of the low rail on the Tavor.  IMO, the great combo so far.

That is the scope I am considering but was hoping you could still flip up the built in sights.  Doesn't look like there is room.  Can you verify that?  Thanks

I just checked and the built in sights won't work.  If there was another 1" between the sights it would have.  Also, the built in sight are little higher than standard pop ups, they won't co-witness with the scope.  That is why I am using the PEPR QD version.

The Magpul Gen 2 MBus will work with the scope.

That make me wondered.  Does anyone with a magnifying scope on their Tavor able to use the pop up sight.

IMO, probably not many.

From my experience you would never do that.

What's the quality like on the Primary Arms Micro Dot?? I was thinking about picking one up, but keep putting it off because I'm worried it'll fall apart.

Your right..  unless you have true 1x power scope, the front sight is really hard to see.

Also, I was wrong earlier.  I was able to get it the Co-witness with my Aimpoint Pro, but not with scope for the fact I can barely see the front popup.

I've had the one you see on my Tavor going on 6 years now. It's been on a .22LR, Mossberg 930 SPX, Ruger Mini 30, AK47, and now my Tavor. It's held up to all calibers and is well worth the money. It doesn't have the battery life of an Aimpoint T-1/H-1, but it holds a zero and can be mounted to any mount the T-1/H-1 can be. I still want a H-1 for the battery life, but you can get a high quality LaRue mount and the PA Micro Dot for less than half the cost of an Aimpoint. If you don't like it, you didn't have to spend $600 to find out.  Grin
