Current work setup waiting on my Mepro MOR vis/IR to come in to cut some of the wait.

Why downgrade to the MOR from the Elcan Specter DR?

I was looking to streamline the ergonomics of my weapon and add some additional functionality. Most of my work is from point blank to 300 yards and the MOR is more than capable in that range. If I have to go further out I have a. 3 x I can strap behind her. Cut nearly a pound off the weight of my weapon and added a tritium powered always on combat proven optic. If you check out my MOR review everything is detailed in there.

Got my package in from Zahal this morning with my vertical grip and IDF sling.

Still waiting in my CAA mount and 6v speedlight.

Also took my original rail to my armorer he is cutting it at the 25th rail slot and then re-anodizing her. This should give me a short Standard rail but with pic rail to better match the direct barrel mars mounting(yes I'm kicking myself for not buying an idf)

Didn't do the 550 connect to the QD mounts since the hooks are stronger.

16" with Bushnell 4-12x scope calibrated for 55gr to 600 yds (yes I've done it repeatedly), TRL-1 flashlight, Advanced Armament Corp Muzzle break with fast attach (762 SDN-6 not pictured), Gearhead FLEX, and windowed P Mag with high tech locating device(neon duck tape). Oh, and direct from Israel IDF shirt!
Hog was shot at 150 yds from my back porch, 200-250lbs.

anyone know if there are plans for an HK style folding charging handle?  I could really dig one of those...saw something like that on an AUG the other day and all I could think was "damn, I want one for my Tavor"

I broke mine out of lay-away jail today.  I'm keeping mine OEM stock.  Other than mounting on a dot, there's nothing I really want to do to it.  Here's mine pictured next to my 14.5" barreled budget AR I built myself.

I'm thrilled to have an 18" barrel in a short overall length package.

That's it for now.  Back to lurking, reading, and learning.

Hey guys, some great looking Tavors on here!

Here's my set-up - need a better solution for the light, but for now it does the job.

Going to have it dipped also, still unsure of what I'm going to go with - as of now, Urban Digital is what it's looking now. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Great setup how did you route your mars switch? Is it touching your barrel?

Did you use a nomex sleeve? Any melting?

Man the 18" FDE looks good. I'm dying to pick one up myself, but hav't got the funds yet. And good choice on starting out with just a red dot. I went with a Vortex Sparc 2 on my 16.5" and am pretty happy with it for being less than half the cost of a T1 Micro. And just an FYI that on the Tavor, many seem to prefer the low 1/3 height, rather than absolute cowitness due to the design of the rifle.

YHM phantom 30 cal.  Barely fits, but you do have to do some minor trimming to the upper rail.

I want to buy that FDE MI handguard many time but keep thinking about the color match. It somehow put me off, maybe I would go with black handguard on my FDE Tavor. Anyway, right now, I stick with the original.
