So will it use Colt pattern mags too? The first reports of what mag the 9mm would use was a modified Colt mag. That was good for me since I have those. I don't have Uzi mags however and will be bad.

Did the bolt hold open on the last shot?

Sorry I don't recall if it did. I know it does for the 556, as the IWI rep said "Last Round catch". But I was too much head over heels from shooting it that it did not occur to me to check if it does for the 9mm.

Awesome! Can you comment on the location of the magazine catch compared to the location of the mag catch on a Colt brand 9mm AR mag?
How was the blowback recoil?
Was it spitting carbon crud back at you like blowback AR's frequently do?
Was the barrel threaded?
Chromelined?

*I took a pic and reposted it on arfcom, will post your video over there too (PM me if you want it taken down).

From the video, it looks like the barrel has a flash hider...so I'm assuming its threaded.

Nice to see modified UZI mags can work in addition to the Colt mags.

I was looking around and stumbled upon this. It shows the cut out mod for the UZI mags. Now to pick a couple up and give it a try.

I used to have a few Israeli buddies that I trained a lot with. That guy in the video is the spitting image of them. They are the absolute funnest range buddies ever.

And, they are all certifiable lunatics, in a good way.
I enjoyed meeting both of the instructors, one of them shown in the video. Really knowledgeable and friendly. Had a great time at the IWI booth at shotshow.

Hmm does that mean the Uzi / Colt 9mm Beta mag will work too?

They probably are compatible, but may require you to cut a second slot or otherwise make some modifications.  It's dependent on which version Beta mag you have, and exactly which mag the 9mm conversion is using.  I think the main difference is just the cuts for the mag catch.

Edit: Unless I'm missing something here, a Colt mag and a "modified Uzi mag" are basically the same thing, since that's what the original Colt mags were.  So if you have either Beta mag it'll either work (Colt) or you can make a second cut to make it work (Uzi).
