The Malaysian surplus kits are full auto parts as most of us know. Great to have if you are an SOT or own a transferable AUG. The 3rd burst kit is also cool and fun to have.

Couple things you might not know...

If you don't want to use the 3rd burst on that range trip you can also use it as full auto by simply flipping a switch on the bottom of the pack to disable the 3rd burst sprocket. Also it is good to have a spare 3rd burst kit as the sprocket is plastic and a different plastic than the rest of the pack so that it will wear out first and the gun will still retain semi and full function. So if you use the gun in 3rd burst eventually your sprocket will fail, on purpose, before the rest of the pack. Then it will still work but you will lose the 3rd burst. Therefor if you want a spare getting one of these packs with these kits is pretty much the only way.

Also during a conversation with an SOT who built a post sample from one of these kits, the selector is a VERY rare and VERY desirable 3 position selector with a full auto lock out (so semi only) in the middle. The way it works it if it is all the way to one side it is safe if all the way to the other side fire but there is a distinct third position in the middle that is a full auto lock out only allowing semiauto fire. The Malaysian kits all have this as it is was specially requested by them. Previously this selector was unheard of. VERY cool!

The only other full auto lockout is in the form of a button on the bottom of the trigger.

I have both. The 3 position selector is WAY better.
