Pretty good write up on the UTS-15 Shotgun from Defensive Review.

Note the remark that the Turkish company is "reportedly" looking to manufacture and sell in the US.

It does seem to have very smooth, effortless loading. I'm sure they practiced for the video!  Grin

Should be very interesting to see pricing if it comes to the US...

Im getting one.
I dont currently own a shotgun
And I like Bullpups.
Delivery estimated for Mid June.
Thats about 4 weeks
Serial number under 100

May 1, 2012 – Des Plaines, IL

UTAS-USA, American manufacturer of the revolutionary UTS-15 tactical shotgun announced today that production has started on the civilian model of the UTS-15 in their new facility in Des Plaines, IL.

UTAS’ Director of U.S. Operations, Matt Guzeldere stated today, “We’ve been working with UTAS Makine, Ltd. the Turkish company that developed the UTS-15, to set up American manufacturing for quite sometime. It has been a difficult process that required building a lot of duplicate and expensive tooling, such as polymer injection molds. We have a license agreement, all of the tooling in place and have started producing parts. Of course we’ll be training personnel, running the first guns through product qualification tests and ramping up production, so we’re anticipating delivering the first American made UTS-15’s in late May or early June. ”

The UTS-15 tactical 12 ga. pump shotgun is a patented, ground-up design utilizing fiber reinforced polymers for over 85% of its parts and is the first such firearm to have the receiver molded completely from polymer. At only 28.5” in overall length and weighing only 6.9 lbs, but with top-mounted alternately feeding magazines providing a total capacity of 15 rounds, the UTS-15 has truly broken new ground in tactical shotgun design. As standard features on the Military & Police Model and separately purchased accessories for civilians, there is a built in point-and-shoot impact centered, focused-beam LED spotlight, adjustable laser sight, flip-up large aperture peep or V rear sight, a glow-in-the-dark bead front sight and a screw in, breaching muzzle extension.

The U.S. manufactured UTS-15 civilian model carries a base price of $1200.

Where are you folks ordering these?

And getting the information about quantities of production runs and where you are at in queue?

There is an auction on gunbroker. Last I looked there were 34 left
Note the seller is UTAS the American manufacturer.
Not a pre-order scam.
They are building them rite now.
Shipment in about 3 or 4 weeks.
After I bought mine I called them and talked for a while.

Thanks for the quick, informative reply.

Not to be a doubting thomas,  but what verification do we have that this really is the manufacturer's account and has the full backing of the manufacturer?

I had the same doubts
especially with all the dealers selling pre-order KSG shotguns and not a clue when or even if they would ever get any in from their distributor.
First thing I did was to send an email asking if they were the USA manufacturer.
They responded yes.
Then after I bought the GB auction and got the "You Purchased an Item on GunBroker.com" email
The phone numbers on the email matched the phone numbers on their Website.

What are the terms of the sale, it doesn't seem clear from the verbiage on Gunbroker.

Are you required to submit full payment immediately?  Then wait for delivery?

I am torn about this chassis. If not for the KSG, I would buy this in a heartbeat. Looks like each has pros/cons. If this was a semi-auto, then this thing would be a beast - a huge differentiator.

Full pay now
Delivery in 4 weeks
I agree about each having its own strong features.
KSG is more compact
UTS feeds from both tubes without having to switch
Both R going for about $1200 now

4 me one of the deciding factors was being able 2 buy at MSRP
For some reason paying $1200 now for a gun that will b selling
4 $800 or $700 in a year bothered me.
The UTS MSRP is $1200 so dispite  the normal discounting that normally
Occurs, im paying the uninflated price, and getting one of the 1st 200 guns made here.
