The only thing you need to know about the AUG optic is that it was designed in 1977 at 1.5x and since then has gone through the revolutionary change to a 3x. For a brief moment, Steyr introduced the A3 with a long enough rail to stack optics including those with illuminated BDC and NV capability. Steyr then quickly abandoned that "futuristic" concept and has since returned to a fixed power non illuminated optic.


Update the AUG Steyr.

This is some good information! I've seen a lot of Internet Warriors talking about how "obsolete" the AUG's integrated optics are, but they never seem to take into account that such a design was absolutely revolutionary for the time!
