Anyone know anyhting about them? More specifically how they are blocked or pinned and how to reverse that as I live in Alaska, a free state.

Depends on who performed the procedure.

Lowest impact would be a plastic block that you can take out by disassembling the mag and removing the block.
Second lowest impact would be a rivet that you can drill out, but be sure to use the lowest diameter necessary to accomplish the task and take your time.

After that would be more permanent things that usually involve epoxy. Those are generally impossible to undo.
