I looked through the forum to see if this has been answered before but couldn't find anything. Can anyone tell me the size of the screws that are used for holding down the top rail on an X95?

2mm allen wrench, I believe.  Should be in the X95 or SAR manual on the IWI website.

Yeah I mean the actual screw itself, not the allen to remove it. I was hoping to replace them without having to buy the whole parts kit.

If you cant find a reference, as MajorKong suggested, take one out and try Home Depot, Lowes, or ACE Hardware?

I can't find the size listed in either manual or any of the online references. I don't have the screws available, because they were lost when someone "helped" me move parts when the rifle was broken down.

then take the part that the screws are missing from, by itself, to the store with you and try screws until you find one that fits - OR - go to a gunsmith.

If you don't know how to do this you shouldn't be taking guns apart.

Yes, thank you. I know I can try screws at random or find a gunsmith. Actually what I will end up doing is ordering the parts kit from IWI that includes those screws. I was asking in a forum devoted to the particular rifle in hopes someone might have accurate information on those particular screws instead of buying the whole kit.

I would call or email IWI US, they may help you, they helped me with some random parts they don’t sell on their website.

https://iwi.us/product/tavor-x95-screwsnutswashers-pack/

Website says that they are currently out of stock.  But this pack does contain the screws that you are looking for.  Might be worth a phone call to IWI just to get the screws you need.  You know they got bins of them sitting around the assembly line.

You guys are rude and useless.

cleardale,
If you're talking about part# 17 on page 96 of the manual, it is a 5mm cap screw that is 10mm long. Make sure you get a steel one.

The bolt has a 4mm allen head, the threads are 10mm long & it is a 5 X 0.8 thread / pitch bolt.
JEEZ.
Rastoff is right. If you don't know...then you don't know.

Thanks for the help. Yeah I didn't want to order the whole kit to start, then it ends up being out of stock.  Sad

Thanks for the help with the full measurements, I appreciate it.
