Anybody see a need to replace the aluminum charging rod with a steel one?

It's been awhile, but I think the Gearhead Work's charging handles come with steel rods. I didn't choose to replace the rod but it's a nice upgrade, never had a problem with my two SARs but I did bend my X95 one removing the barrel to the point it was bound and wouldn't cycle.
