Ok, so here are the facts:
1. I bought an X95
2. I hated the original buttpad, so bought the "skinny" one from IWI
3. To avoid making it an NFA item (SBR), I had a gunsmith pin/weld the flash hider to the barrel - now it is a legal firearm just over 26" and no need to file as NFA
4. Over a year later - I'm thinking about getting a suppressor. I do not mind the $200 tax stamp to file it as an NFA item.
5. Problem is - I'm kind'a stuck with the "stock" flash hider that is pinned to the barrel. I don't hate it, I'm just curious if anyone out here used it with a suppressor on their X95?
*I won't sacrifice quality/usability for price, so looking for a very good suppressor that I can use with this flash hider.
**I'm also not against replacing my barrel as a whole (with the IWI 13" conversion kit) and converting it to an SBR X95 (+$200), so making my X95 an SBR+suppressor.

Any suggestions out there?

Do you own or have you ever used a Gemtech suppressor with an X95? If so, you prefer the HALO or GMT-HALO?

I have not. My two first suppressors are in NFA lockup until the ATF issue my stamps. Gemtech used to be one of the top military providers but I haven't kept up on the current main provider.

You could also have the flash hider you have currently pinned to your barrel removed and install another suppressor mount permanently for which ever suppressor you decide on.

Gemtech has been flushed down the toilet after being bought by S&W. I wouldn’t buy one now, get a GSL Technologies can instead. They are the manufacturer for Gemtech anyway.

Griffin Armament makes both a 5.56, and .30 cal can that will work with good quality made A2 bird cage. However it is picky. Slightly out of spec muzzle attachments are problematic.

My 30sd fits all of my 22mm grenade adapters, but not all of my A2 birdcages. Unfortunately you should try to find someone who has one and check the fit prior to making the purchase.

I ended up just buying a handful of Griffin's muzzle attachments and put them on multiple rifles I have, so one can fits all.
