I'm looking to swap my X95 (less than 50rds fired) trigger pack for the heavier SAR trigger pack. It needs to be a Gen 2 SAR trigger pack, however, as only a Gen 2 is compatible with the X95.

Yes, you all read that correctly. I want a heavier trigger on my X95. The reason is that this is my primary home defense gun, and a heavy trigger is safer in that regard than a light one. I will never be doing any long distance shooting with this gun. 0-100 yards is all I care about. I have other options for reaching further out.

If anyone is interested, please PM me. Thank you.

...a heavy trigger is safer in that regard than a light one.
Now that's a topic if ever there was one, but this isn't the thread for that.

Did you measure the trigger pull of your original trigger pack? Mine measured about 6lbs. That's pretty heavy. Of course the 12lbs the SAR was reported to have is a lot more yet.

Fair enough--there's always room for debate on things. For me personally, I'd rather that my X95 have a heavy trigger like my SAR, since my X95 is my HD gun. I'm always very clumsy and fumbling when I first wake up from a sound sleep. A heavier trigger seems safer to me in that scenario.

My X95's trigger is probably right around 6lbs with the standard pack. It feels similar to a standard AR trigger weight-wise. Comparatively, it is MUCH lighter than the trigger in the SAR, so my SAR probably is about 12lbs.

I tried to put the SAR pack into my X95 and it the holes did not want to line up with the pins. They seemed to be ever so slightly off but I didn't force it either. I'm guessing the 2 represents Gen 2 on the pack?
Here are a couple pics.

Ok... After some research, it looks like I was mistaken about there being a Gen 2 SAR trigger pack that fits the X95. The Gen 2 Tavor trigger pack IS the X95 trigger pack, and that has a different contour to the housing than the SAR pack. So the SAR pack will only fit the SAR, while the X95 pack will fit both the X95 and SAR.

Just looking at the housing on the SAR pack, it could easily be milled to fit the X95, so that's what I'm going to do. At least then I can swap them back and forth ad libitum.

Sorry folks for the confusion. Mods please lock/delete/etc.
