While I love the crap out of my KSG, I'd probably wind up replacing it with the KS7. It looks to be a fantastic alternative, even love the carry handle setup.

Cool, I'd be interested in this little puppy. I had a KSG and sold it. With a single tube I'd like to think the double feed issues would be fixed. I'm not crazy about that carry handle and hope its not part of the mold and can come off. It would be nice however if you could carry 7 shells in the track on top.

It appears to be removable...but man...that is the shotgun I've wanted for a long time...single tube...bullpup...lefty friendly.

KT has improved the racking in the KS7 and the carry handle is replaceable with the KSG rail.  Watch this video for the details.

The KSG Picatinny rail that will also fit the KS7 is $30 on the Kel Tec website on the KSG page at the bottom.

I liked the VG I had on my KSG, not sure if the 7 allows that.

Several SHOT Show videos have popped up for the KS7.  Use "Kel Tec KS7" in a Bing search.

Per Ryan Williams of Kel Tec (in video) says the KS7 will be in limited release until May and in full production after May.  The Kel Tec rep, in the Hank Strange video, said full production in May will be about 750 per week.

In this video posted today by Concealed Carry at the 1:40 mark you can see the muzzle end  of the KS7 and the barrel nut.  The "flats" of the barrel nut are not flat but are scalloped.  This may require the use of a special socket to remove the barrel nut to install a muzzle brake.

I took a look at several photos of both the KS7 and KSG and a video of the KS7 that showed the muzzle end of the KS7.  It has been stated by Ryan Williams of Kel-Tec that the Picatinny rail from the KSG will fit the KS7.  "Hammer". also from Kel-Tec has stated that the carry handle from the KS7 will not fit the KSG.  If the KSG rail fits the KS7 then the mounting holes in the KS7 carry handle will match the mounting holes in the KSG.  There is an access hole in the upper section of the KS7 carry handle to reach the mounting screw.  The top of the muzzle bracket for both the KS7 and KSG are very similar.  So, it is quite possible that the carry handle from the KS7 will fit the KSG with little or no modification.

I'm seeing posted prices of $440 and $438 for the KS7. Both are not available yet and one is taking backorders.

The KS7 is starting to show up.  There are three KS7s on GB (two black and one green).

I believe what I have circled here is the reason the KSG cannot take the KS7 carry handle by default, but that said, I imagine it would be a fairly simply modification to get around this.  As you can see on the KSG (in tan) there is a humped cover over the barrel behind the pic rail, where as the KS7 has no cover, allowing the tail of the carry handle to sit even with the receiver behind it.

Without having a KSG or a KS7 in habd, it looks lke removing about a 1" (or so) section from the carry handle will allow it to fit the KSG.  Maybe.

I took a look at the exploded view of the KSG and just a removal of the heat shield should allow the KS7 carry handle to fit the KSG.  If so, this would allow for easy return to the original KSG set up with the rail and for installation of the KS7 carry handle without any permanent modification to the KSG.  Maybe.
