I just realized that the conversion kit might not work on my 500 because the 18.5" barrel has a rib on top. Does anyone know if I have to take off all of the rib or can I just remove 3-4"? I have a Bullpup kit coming and need to know what I need to do so my 500 will fit in the kit.

I want to thank everyone for their help. I was able to watch a video on how to remove the rib.
