Hi there,

I am new to the forum and recently purchased a 5.56 SAR.  I like to be prepared and will often pick up some of the “more prone” to wear or breakage parts so I never have to look high and low when needed.  Are there any parts that are suggested to pick up extras?  firing pin, etc.?

Seems like the barrel pivot lock tab is a frequent casualty as people get bold enough to unhook their barrels...

All I bought right away was a spare barrel assy and rh bolt. That set me back a bit but if and when I wear out the original barrel then I will have it ready again in no time at all.

If you read the manual and follow the directions, you won't have any issues.

It never hurts to carry some parts if you use your gun a lot. I don't remember hearing about it on a Tavor, but an extra firing pin is always a good thing to have.

This little kit could come in handy: https://iwi.us/product/tavor-sar-screwsnutswashers-pack/ If you've never lost a small screw, you haven't done any mechanical work.

People often bugger the cocking bar while trying to remove the barrel (wouldn't happen if they followed the directions): https://iwi.us/product/tavor-sar-cocking-bar/ Technically this part should last forever. But since it can be damaged by the end user, it's a catastrophic failure when it is damaged. Having another wouldn't hurt.

Now, I have about 1,200 rounds through my X95. I don't have any of these spare parts I've recommended here. Nothing has ever failed in any way on my gun. Your mileage may vary.

Remember, you can post here because they died over there.
