Has anyone tried covering the stock ejection plate cover with Gorilla tape to see if it helps with the gas face issue?

The gas that you smell comes primarily from a small gap under the back of the top of the pic rail. This can be easily remedied with some RDV sealant as shown in this thread.

Interesting. I've heard about this gas to the face issue a lot, but never experienced it. Does this only happen with suppressed guns?

Never really had gas face unsuppressed, but I can smell it. Did I notice a difference of night and day when I electrical taped the ejection port cover? No, but it helps.
