I think developmental and tooling costs are much higher than the actual cost of the gun.

Looking at the materials choices and the vast reliance on foreign MIM manufacturing present...I'd bet DT doesn't have more than $1000 in each gun.

Just heard back from DT. My rifle should be on its way back to me tomorrow.

Here is a quick list of what I was told was done.

The spring and clip on my dust cover were replaced, it actually is stays open now.

My forward magazine release buttons were apparently originally installed BACKWARDS, and has now been swapped. This should correct them being grossly uneven and has reduced the weight(?).

The retaining clip on my rear takedown pin has been replaced.

Apparently while testing my rifle it wasn't retaining magazines. The magazine catch has been replaced.

I'm interested to see how it looks/works when I get it back.
