There is actually a community college / trade school nearby.  I'd love to get one of the machinist students in.  I have to study up on that.  My part-time guy is a contractor, so I have zero employees and am not subject to OSHA or any of the other barrel full of laws.  As soon as I get employee #1, the complexity of running a company (and the number of hours given to compliance) goes up dramatically.

Actually, where I stand is that I have a pretty decent prototype that was done by SHOT, about 9 months ago.  Since then, I'm still waiting on a rifle from DT to live fire it and do drop testing.  They got me a lower, then a receiver.  I'm still missing the barrel assembly.

In the meantime, I have been working on my Scorpion EVO trigger.

Current situation is that the EVO trigger is about to launch, so if DT gets me the missing parts, I'll have time over the Winter to progress this ... and my MP5 trigger, and my PS90 trigger, and my B&T trigger ....

What I really need is some aspiring machinist or gunsmith kid, who will work for cheap.  Unfortunately, and it's all Trump's fault, the economy is booming, so finding people who are looking for work is tough!

I wI'll let you borrow my barrel if need be, have a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel on order.  When it arrives will have no real need for the 308 barrel.  Will end up sitting with the rest of my 308's.

Had a hard time deciding between 16.5 and 18.  Went with the 16.5, hoping for velocities around the 2500 fps mark with 140's.  I have a 18" barrel for a bolt gun and get around 2640 (with factory Hornady loads).  We will see, hopefully have the barrel before Thanksgiving.

Start a new thread when you get your barrel, I'm interested in one also but was thinking 18 or 20".

I got a FedEx package inbound from DT, so maybe it is a barrel.  WooHoo!

Barrel arrived.  I'll do first shots with my prototype this weekend.

I still have a project list for EVO Scorpion to finish, but the prototype on this is pretty good, so the jump to production should be easy.

So far I have I installed Art's Tavor and Sig triggers and neither were adjustable. Both lowered pull weight and cleaned up the break substantially. Both were also 2 stage.

Art,

I also would like to know what you are doing on the Scorpion.  I bought the HB Industries trigger for both of my Scorpions, and they both end up with triggers that fail to reset after a very small number of rounds.  I've had the springs replaces at least three times in each gun.  Please tell me you are making something that works?

Also, any update on the MDR trigger pack?

Thanks, Jim (in Cincinnati)
