Vaporware...advertised but not yet available to buy because it is only a concept or because it is still being designed.  See Websterís dictionary for photo of MDR and soon to be the Atrax.

Except the MDR isn't vaporware any more. Not out in great numbers, but they are shipping. The Atrax shouldn't be delayed to the same extent since it isn't an experimental home-brew, and has a military model in use.

Just spoke with a representative at Brownells who stated the Atrax is to hit their shelves the first week of June, and that not all rifles have been allocated.  So, fingers crossed that she's right.  Multiple e-mails to Dasan USA and Josh Whi have been unanswered and it has me wondering about their business practices, i.e. customer service.  It's a bit troubling and has me rethinking my order.

They're listed as an exhibitor for NRAAM. Will see if they're there and what they say.

Shipping late May early June per Dasan reps at the booth. Parts are a combo of Lithgow and Dasan.

It feels fantastic in the hands. Much better than the AUG.

How does it feel much better than the AUG?

It feels handier due to the drop in weight and just feels great in the shoulder.

From what I've gathered, it is a bit shy of even a pound lighter.

I'd say comparing the 16in F90 to the A3 M1 with extended rail. It's around .80 pds lighter.

I've got an STG77 40th anniversary, a 16" A3 SA, a 18" A3M1 with short rail, and a 18" A3M1 with the 1.5. The F90 simply feels better to me.

Obviously that's subjective, but it feels extremely well balanced and points really well.

vellnueve - Thanks for the update.

Any changes to the gun?

Is Brownells the only one getting the first shipment? (Brownells is the only store that has it listed.)

There will be multiple distributors.

No changes that I saw. Part of the issue is waiting for approval on the serialized carrier. For those asking about the deflector, theres notches in the ejection port that may allow this to be attached.

vellnueve - Thank you

Any firm word on the F90MBR after the initial launch?

So will this be technically a Lithgow gun or Dasan gun? (You said you talked to the Dasan reps...)

Lets hope it actually launches in late May early June; we're all eagerly waiting. Back in the day I even predicted that it would ship before the MDR....

Has the MDR really shipped? I thought they were just doing an open beta test...  Grin

I didnít ask about the MBR.

The Atrax is a mix of Australian, DASAN Korea, and DASAN USA parts.

Pictures from NRA. The gas regulator was missing (I'm guessing to deactivate the gun for the show) but otherwise it looked great.

Thanks much for the information and photos, vellnueve.

Did the Dasan folks say if the rifle will be black or the tan in the photos, and if the magazine will be the Steyr OEM or Lithgow's version?
