So here's my question, no talk lately from IWI about the Tavor 7. So is it going to be coming out at the Shot Show, or are we going to just suffer through delay after delay to see this rifle? I hate being teased & told that we will see it the first quarter of this year & then silence. Really?

When any company says "x" quarter, I assume it comes out earliest at the END of the quarter, even if they say "starting at beginning. Idk about IWI's history of revealing and actually dropping products, but they cant be bad as Desert Tech and delaying it like what 3 years?

I never put any stock in gun manufacturer's new model announcements. Desert Tech announced the MDR a few years ago and they still don't have the .223 version. Ithaca announced the Phoenix in 2008 and it never hit the market.

Will IWI actually make the Tavor 7? Time will tell. I'll believe it when I see it.

Highly doubt you'll see 6.5 or 45acp. Creedmoor is for precision long range and well, a military bullpup wouldn't really take advantage of that except for bench shooting.  I would only expect NATO calibers and extremely high demand calibers, which only has been 300 blkout.

Rumor has it that Desert Tech will have a functioning .223 MDR for live fire demo at Shot Show this year.

By shot show it’s better if they’ve announced that they have  of all the 7.62 for delivery!

So I just looked at all the vendors at the SHOT show & IWI is not listed. I'm just a bit surprised that they will not be there.

I dont understand why they have a 9mm conversion but not 45acp, seems simple but then again I never built a gun...

I think it's just the market, imo. People don't want to drop the Tavor price tag for a 9mm carbine, so they make a conversion kit with the most popular handgun cartridge, plus it's a NATO caliber (unsure of 45 is currently, I know it USED to be...).

They will probably release it this shot show, just like the TS-12. CMC gov supply has them listed, so they are getting ready to release:

http://www.cmcgov.com/IWI-TAVOR-7-762NATO-16.5-20RD-BLK

also looks like SBR X95 will be coming as well:

http://www.cmcgov.com/IWI-TAVOR-X95-SBR-556-13-30RD-BLK.html

....I should send a form 1 in on my x95....

Nice link thanks. Hope the MSRP stays at $2200. A 20” barreled extended handguard version might end up swaying me from the MDR if deliveries keep being delayed (or issues continue to persist).

Thanks for that video rjhyland.

Seeing it in action rather than just reading about it is amazing. I love the innovations here. The way they switch from left to right is inspired. I also like the notch for the charging handle. This is one well thought out gun.
