Didn't think about this when I sent mine back to Steyr because of poor accuracy a year or so ago.
Anyway, this question is just out of curiosity, as they put a different barrel on my gun and it shoots better.
Hope it didn't hurt any resale value.

No serial numbers on the M1 barrels.

Only the STG77s have serial numbers on their barrels.
