Curious what the overall average is.

Personally...

I'm still running an Aimpoint pro mainly for it's durability.  Although I plan on testing a Trijicon Accupoint 1-4 soon, If I find it is as fast as the Aimpoint, I'll probably toss the Aimpoint on a different gun.

Side question/topic, anyone Abuse the Trijicon Accupoint at all?  I wonder how durable they are.  Vortex might an edge in that department for the warranty, but I think Trijicon has the edge in glass quality.

Voted both. Have a Elcan Spectre DS on my Tavor SAR and a MH-1 on my X95. So technically it's 66% RDS and 33% magnified.

I just got a DI Optical EG1C for mine and I'm pretty happy with it so far. I did go back to the stock top rail and the sight is an absolute co-witness with the back up irons.

I voted for both also. I have an EOTech on my 9mm Tavor, and 1-4x magnified optics on my two 223 Tavors.

Voted all 3 as I often co-witness my BUIS and run a Mepro RDS with an EoTech G33 on flip to side mount on my X95.

On my X95 I run a Trijicon MRO on a LaRue 1/3 co-witness QD mount. Works great out past 200 yds.

I'm a big fan of the ACOG.

So far, I've used:
  • Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24
  • Trijicon RM08G (RMR with Green 12MOA Traingle)
  • Trijicon MRO
  • Trijicon TA33R-8 (fixed 3x ACOG)

I just keep coming back to the ACOG. So clear and bright and easy to use.

Anyone want an MRO?

Other than weight the Elcan is perfection. Not a big fan of the MH-1 and am currently looking to go back to an Eotech on the X95.

Not at all. I'm 54 but my eyes are holding up fairly well. I do have to wear glasses for extreme distance but other than that, I'm gtg. After so many decades of using irons, It's kind of instinctive.

Still awaiting delivery of my Tavor, but I'm going to start with a Primary Arms 3x and see how it works.  I also have a spare red dot I can throw on it if I don't like the PA.

To last poster, if you are considering a 1-4x or 1x6x, you might look at SWFA.  I have the 1-4 on a couple of AR's and like it a lot.  I also have a 1-6x on an AR and honestly, even though it's supposedly HD glass I like it less.  Also, if you have the $$$ Vortex makes an extremely good 1-6x scope, although it is heavy and expensive.

I switched from an EOTech to a Primary Arms 2.5X prism because I wanted something simple and rugged that didn't require a battery.  And didn't cost as much as an ACOG.
