Watching a short update on the Mosul offensive and suddenly, to my surprise, I see the VHS-2. I've attached a screenshot. Turns out others have noticed and there are many pictures and videos of it - here's a few from a quick search.

An interesting choice by the Iraqi army, going with a rifle that uses 5.56 instead of 7.62 and that uses G36 magazines instead of STANAG and of course not AK mags. I mean with all their connections to America, why not go with the M4? Maybe they just wanted the advantage of a bullpup and the 5.56 cartridge and the VHS-2 was the cheaper route. Actually what other options did they have? Of course they wouldn't have purchased the Tavor, so, FAMAS or Steyr (with proprietary mags)?

(...I don't think many bullpups come with adjustable stocks.)

Will the VHS 2 ever make it here for civilian sales? I like it.

Yeah the Iraqi personnel use it quite a bit...like over 50,000 in circulation

I hope Springfield would make it here state side...I'd be the first one to try it.
