.....or someone to share any tricks they have fore breaking the barrel nut loose without buggering-up the nut or the gun.

If anyone has a tool they'd lend out...or knows the magic words...I'd be eternally grateful.

Hi-Tech makes a tool. It's kind of expensive, but they sell a combo kits with their compensatory, enhanced tube selector, and tool that is pretty reasonable.
