WTS: rare IDF mount for M21

This is the mount that attaches the M21 optic directly to the barrel as seen on the IDF model SAR. This mount cannot be bought from IWI or Meprolight. It's used, in good condition with a few scratches as shown. Can also be used on the X95.

$130 shipped in the CONUS with payment by discrete PayPal with no mention of anything firearms related provided you have a PayPal Confirmed Address (that's the address it will ship to).

Please don't PM or post, instead email me at hkbeltfed@yahooNOSPAM.com (remove NOSPAM)

Thanks, Chris

Where'd you find that? If you don't mind.

After contacting IWI and Mepro US and Israel and finding out they aren't available, I emailed a IDF owner that switched to a rail and posted pics on the net. I bought it from them. Do you want it?

So anyone can get one. If you buy that gun. No, I'm good, just wondered from where.

Anyone can get one, but you'd have to purchase the $2000 IDF16 Tavor, or find someone willing to part with theirs. It is generally Unobtainium.

I'm not interested myself, but something to think about--this could probably be used as a mount for the M21 on the x95 also if someone were interested in making an IDF-ish MTAR clone (see pic attached).

Good luck on the sale.

I'm not sure that makes much sense. Yes, you'd have the mount if you bought a IDF model SAR. It may be worth mentioning they were discontinued last year too.

Price reduced.

HK--that looks awesome, but get some short furniture on there ASAP! Smiley Man I wish IWI would release the older rounded IDF hand guard...

Good luck again on your sale. I can't believe someone hasn't snatched this up. Radscorpius--you interested?

Since the gun is already SBRed, will you be changing the stock butt pad for the slim one.  It would be a great touch and make a very compact gun.

Yes we did that as soon as we got our hands on one. This is the same gun with our short Razorback and cerakoted with slim butt plate.

The ITL/MARS sight was designed and will mount directly to the barrels 2 mounts by removing the top rail. Either on the x95 or regular Tavor. However, you can still mount it to the top rail directly however it will sit higher and not cowitness with the rails back up iron sights.

Thanks for ,the info....I'm thinking if I buy a x95 and mount my MARS to the factory location on the  barrel and cut the rail back it will help allow for cowitmess of the irons magnification and or pvs. The MARS stands tall compared to all red dots. I don't know how or why IMI can have everything so high above the barrel with the rails they run on them.

Little more  research but it's looking promising now that they have the parts for the SBR version available now.

The ITL/MARS sight was originally designed for the Tavor and later the X95. It was designed to be mounted directly to the barrel and boresighted by the unit armorer. It wasn't intended to be swapped from weapon to weapon by the soldier. So it will sit lower and will co-witness with the IDF issued tavor or x95 BUIS. The IDF later went to the meprolight m21 with a dual throw lever picantinny mount that allows them to use them on flattop m16's/m4's and be cowitnessed. They don't use that funky proprietary mount. For the m21 to cowitness with the BUIS on the tavor/x95, they use a picantinny riser rail mounted on the barrel. The actual IDF guns are somewhat open topped on the receiver as they do not have the extra metal on the side of the full length rail like the US civilian x95/tavor acting as a closeout. A lot of the x95/tavors don't even have the BUIS as they are in the way of the designated marksman scope or they have the new meprolight mepro MOR optic. Hope this helps. Was in Israel last week and saw plenty of x95 setups. Shoot me an email/pm and let me know what you are thinking of mounting more than happy to help.
