I emailed them last week and asked when the conversion kit would be available and received this response.

Will have to get one.
With a can and blacktip ammo it will be good to 300 yards.
With subs big fun without need of hearing protection.

Really wasn't misleading anybody, folks. I was only relaying what IWI said themselves. Still no word though Sad

Over a month later and no update. I did email IWI and posted on their FB page but I got NO response at all.

I did find a vendor that had them listed for sale. I emailed them to ask for details and they said "give us your money (something like $424) and we'll send it to you in 3 to 10 weeks.

...yeah, right.

Here's the full update:

Quote
.300 Blackout Update!

Good news. We can finally update you with information on our X95 in .300 Blackout. All testing is completed and guns are now in full production. Many of you labeled our .300 as vaporware or "unobtanium" as it appeared that we would never bring this to market. It took much, much longer to build in this caliber than all of us had hoped and planned but now we have it!

We had to make sure that we had the quality and reliability that we insist on and that you have rightfully come to expect from us.

We will be able to start shipping the first complete X95's in .300 Blackout by the end of February/early March. X95 Conversion Kits in .300 should be ready by end March/early April.

Last but not least, .300 Conversion Kits for the original Tavor SAR will start shipping in early April.

Converting the X95 and SAR to .300 Blackout is not as simple as merely changing the barrel, so note that Conversion Kits for both models will include the .300 barrel (16.5" with 1:8 twist; with integral gas regulator for reliable function with sub and supersonic ammo when running a suppressor), bolt (properly headspaced to the included barrel), a complete dedicated .300 Blackout recoil assembly, a new Picatinny top rail (with cutout that allows easy access to the gas regulator), a unique .300 case deflector and a barrel wrench. As a result, pricing for the Conversion Kits will be similar to our current pricing on 9mm Conversion Kits.

We believe in "better late than never" and hope you will agree.

So the SAR conversion kit will be $899.

If the conversion kit costs that much, I'll just buy a whole new rifle.

Sweet, been looking for a reason to get a X95! I'm assuming excessive gas will still be a slight issue if shooting suppressed though?

Using around 10 grains of powder won't make a whole lot of gas.
