Oh! This is a great idea! We should make a long, multi-page thread with all our RDB pictures!

Anyone with a painted RDB or one of those Cerakote ones? I know there are probably
lots of people doing that.

i plan on buying another rdb and doing a cerakote.  my gun store has a vendor that's top notch.  i'm going bold with white, black and red tones on the gun...just need to setup the color scheme.

side note - would be cool if others got this thread going.  thektog.org is up to 4 pgs worth of user pics; always like seeing other ppls' setup.

Good work man!  Did you get the kit from montactical?  I've debated doing my fs2000 in this pattern for a while now but don't have the balls to.  Again, I like it man!

Yes sir, Montactical stencils and Duracoat aerosol.

It was a pain to do the base coat, the aerosol Duracoat comes with way more quantity than desired. If it were just the one color I would be apprehensive about doing it again, but with the many layers of this pattern it is impossible to see the mistakes and mess-ups. It looks awesome even though there were several fudges.

This was my first time ever Duracoating anything, messed around with Krylon spray paint, but never anything like this.

man i don't see any f'ups.  gun looks outstanding and is the first patterned duracoat RDB i've seen.  i was going to ask what airbrush you used and completely forgot about the aerosol kits.

lol...you'll laugh man but i keep trying to convince my brother to let me duracoat his savage 30-06.  ulterior motive is practice for when i have the balls to duracoat one of my own.  unfortunately, he's no fool and told me to duracoat one of mine instead.

eventually when i do, i hope it turns out as good as this with the f'ups.  like the potato grip as well.

Like any other RDB (Serial # blotted out). Burris MTAC 30mm 1-4x 24mm Ballistic AR reticle.

Grifter, nice job! You don't want to set that down and forget where you put it!

All we need to do now is send ours to Gifter for duracoating...  It's a smooth gun to shoot isn't it?

The funniest on this forum.  You should hear his quips on the MDR side; I nearly pee myself laughing.
My favorite was probably the one where he describes Why desert tech is taking so long with the MDR. Because they shot the RDB and freaked the f*** out!   LOL!
