Do minishells work reliably with the DP-12?

Anyone have any experience?

I just bought a couple of boxes of them to try. I'm hoping to get to the range this weekend. I do recall seeing a video on Youtube of a guy who ran them through his Kel-Tec KSG sucessfully, so there should be no reason why they wouldn't work in the IMHO superior DP-12.

The mini shells work in my supernova but the slugs esp lack consistency and had random groups at 25 yds

They are ok for dumping lead in a general area.

I'm headed out tomorrow to go shoot. I'll post my results after the trip.

Well went to the range last weekend with the DP-12. I shot about three boxes of 2 3/4 inch 00 Buck through the gun. Loaded it the final 2 3/4 inch shells, and was going to start with the mini shells. About round number three, the gun malfunctioned, and jammed. It failed to extract the right shell, and became hopelessly jammed half way open. I cannot move it forward or back. So it's going back to the factory today.

Just to clarify, it jammed on the 2 3/4" or the minishells?

Wow, that's disappointing.   I really would've liked to have heard how the minishells performed, but if it's doing this with a common size shell...

I wonder how common this issue is?

Anything?  Your return? Get the minis to shoot? Get it working?

They replaced two pins, and sent to gun back with one day turn around. Now if the wind will stop blowing 50+ miles an hour here in Vegas, I will try and test fire it tomorrow.

Did they say what caused the malfunction?

They did not say specifically what caused the malfunction, but mine was a very early model, and I have to believe the two pins were maybe early designs and perhaps weren't up to muster. I'll be talking to them tomorrow to see if I can get an update on the exact cause.

Did you get a chance to talk to them?  If so, what did they say?

Have you tried the minishells yet?

Due to my work, I've been unable to have the time to call them. I will be at SHOT Show, and will probably speak to them then.
