Hi Point stuff is usually very ugly but effective. This bullpup is very attractive. It might be well worth the money if they don't use pot metal in the receiver area. Hi Points handguns are ugly and cheap, but the work.

i am gathering from artical that this is an HTA conversion kit like what we have see for the Ruger 10/22, except it uses the Hi Point Carbine for all of its functional internals.

asthetically speaking it is a huge improvement from this:

That LOP looks crazy.

Hey guys!

Just figured I'd pop in and let everyone know I'm still around if you anyone had any questions! We've seen some concern as to LOP but it actually looks deceptively long- it's the same as what our 90/22 kit has and very similar to an AR-15 with the stock extended. Not everyone finds this length ideal, we know, but much of it was driven by the fact that the serial number podium on the Hi Point's extends down just behind the pistol grip, preventing it from being moved back at all.

If you guys have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks for everything,

Andy and the team at HTA

what is the trigger pull weight?

Title: Re: Hi point Bullpup
Post by: HighTowerArmory on January 04, 2017, 02:38:33 PM
Hey unsung! Thanks for the question!

Weight will vary from gun to gun- we noticed a relatively large spread from the Hi Points we have here. It seems like the guns that are the most broken in have the best trigger pulls. Assuming you know your gun's own pull weight, our goal with this stock is to add as little weight to the trigger as possible. We're using a very light return spring and a camming trigger actuator which uses leverage to optimize the work done by the trigger rod. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for the questions and for your interest!

I am interested if there is any information when release date will be. My father has always been a fond user of the high point carbine around the farm and with that I own one as well. Both function very well and never gave any problems. With the design of this kit, it would make the high point a even better truck/farm gun and looking to order a few kits. With a lot of manufactures release dates get pushed back and back. I am hoping this will not be the case, being a perfect stock conversion gift.

2017 just started and with the comment on the website saying "in 2017" does anyone happen to have any info on projected release date?

Hey guys!

Thanks so much for your comments and questions! We're still shooting for a release date around the middle of this year. Hopefully sooner if all goes well! Keep an eye on our facebook page and this site for more updates! Thanks again,

So is this going to come as a complete rifle, or is just the conversion stock going to be at or around $500?

Either way, I just might be buying a Hi Point carbine this year...

Hey ttarp!

Thanks for your question! For now, we will be selling just the stock and the price will likely be around $250 for the stock, so the overall unit will cost about $500 with everything. As far as bullpups go, that's going to be on the lower end for complete rifle costs. If you guys have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask and thank you again!

Andy,
do you need beta-testers?

Title: Re: Hi point Bullpup
Post by: HighTowerArmory on February 15, 2017, 02:21:45 PM
Hey Gomelkiev!

Thanks for your interest! We appreciate the offer but what we really need right now is parts haha. Once we have parts in hand, we will be doing some internal testing and then sending out samples to reviewers and the like. We'll let you all know when we get close! Thanks again!

I think this looks really cool but, how left-hand friendly is it going to be?

Hey UV!

This stock will be very lefty friendly- all the controls are ambidextrous and there is a shell deflector included!Check out our most recent video for video of this stock being fired from the left shoulder. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks so much!

I am so interested in this bullpup that I have purchased a HiPoint 45 and am waiting for the conversion kit.

When it is ready to ship they will be sending three to my neighborhood as I am not the only interested.

Any updates?

Title: Re: Hi point Bullpup
Post by: Desert Kraut on June 09, 2017, 11:54:49 AM
I love the kit. The only negative from my standpoint is that Hi-Point carbine magazine capacities are only 10 rounds. Yes, they have Pro Mag aftermarket magazines that have a higher round count, but that voids the warranty on the Hi-Point if problems occur. The bright side is the kit helps lots of people get into a bullpup and the platform is only about $250. So what's to lose.

Put me on the also interested and would also like an update.

I am interested also. The Redball mags look odd but are supposed to be good.

The Redball mags look like a boomerang. Like the extra capacity but the looks suck IMHO. Wouldn't think it would be so hard for a company to offer a better looking extended mag.

Hey guys!

Thanks for the questions and comments! We're in tooling right now which means the molds and other necessary equipment are being made so we can go into mass production! The Redball mags do seem to work really well and honestly the look doesn't seem to distract most people who have seen them in our stock. We're hoping to be releasing photos of the sample molded parts sometime next month. If there's anything we can do in the meantime, please don't hesitate to check back in! Thanks so much,

Just checked HTA's facebook page for the first time, I'd been looking here at the forum for updates, but its been quiet around here.

Anyway, I was about to ask about colors, but according to their FB page it looks like they'll be available in Black and FDE(tacticool tan) to start with, and OD Green and Desert Tan to follow, and maybe a Grey like the prototype.

Looking forward to the finished product.

These combined would equal Awesome!!! A dream come true. Plus Hi Point bullpup kit solves the one big problem I have with 99% of kits on the market. They are a b*** to take apart most use like three different screws and take a lot of time to take back off the base gun for maintenance. Kudos on the design where I don't need a tool box and risk loosing a bunch of parts every time I want to clean my gun.

Only small complaint I have is the safety staying above the magwell. Other than that looks fantastic. There's a sentiment I thought I'd never have about a Hi Point.

I hope HTA is not going to turn into another Desert Tech. "Just two more weeks". Hope to see that Hi-Point bullpup conversion soon.

Just read an update on their facebook page, early 2018 is what they're shooting for as a release.  Price set at $250.  Biggest problem for me is deciding whether I get a 9mm or .45 Hi Point.

Title: Re: Hi point Bullpup
Post by: Desert Kraut on December 01, 2017, 11:11:11 PM
I got an email from HTA giving me the same time frame and they said they would put me on a list to email me when they are available.

Wish HTA would make a similiar stock for this:

Cost would be higher, but higher quality host rifle, doublestack magazines, accessory options, and threaded barrel.  Just a thought.

Title: Re: Hi point Bullpup
Post by: Steelviper on December 07, 2017, 12:32:01 AM
The HI Point 1095 (10mm) is supposed to have a threaded barrel. Also a Last Round Hold Open a big plus for me. They are already in the Wild with reviewers and the 1095 is supposed to debut officially at SHOT.

I hope the bull pup kit is a similar time frame this would make a great truck gun. A 10mm bullpup carbine, ah yes please.

I thought I read somewhere they were redesigning it significantly for 10mm, hopefully it will still work with the stock HTA is making, but I'm not holding my breath.
